I was looking into selling customized stuff today, boy have I had some fun. I’ve got a skateboard with my face on it holding a gun, I’m sure it will look crap, but I might consider buying it…
Which I believe is the real attraction, personalisation, the perfect product.
So here are some of the sites:
http://www.zazzle.com – does t-shirts, skateboard etc. Basically they have template products and you customise them – very popular at the moment it seems, over 9 billion products listed!!!
http://www.ponoko.com – seems to allow you to design anything, using 3D tools, and they will laser cut it for you – on demand! Most people are making their own jewellery or stuff for the house.
http://www.cafepress.com - mainly t-shirts, mugs and stuff
http://www.spreadshirt.com – shirts/clothing
