Ok so I’ve had another look at Clickbank, I’ve found a product I think is ok so I am going to try and promote it.
At the moment I’ve only done a Google AdWords campaign, I’ve put it on a two day limit with £5 a day. I should get around 50 clicks in total – if I don’t get one sale then I think I’ll sack off the whole using PPC to promote a clickbank product.
Anyways my product pays out just under $70 if I get a sale, and I’ve checked my affiliate link works on PPC – so its all good!!!
I’ll let you know how it goes…
Yep, I can’t believe it myself, I’ve sold three books so far…
I just hope it isn’t my friends or family hoping to point fun at me!!!
So that’s $19.74 I’ve made in the 10 days its been on Amazon.com.
Maybe I should write some more books… although lets face it, the rate of pay is pretty low. But hey ho, at least I’ve got some cash now, lets hope I don’t waste it on something rubbish…
Well I decided to start a new blog, just for me – it’s more a personal website really.
I’ve just been putting silly things on really…
So my book, An Unofficial Guide to Call of Duty World at War (not an affiliate link I’m afraid), has been published, its now available on Amazon in the US. Quite proud of myself, now I just need to get some people to buy it!!!
It took about 6 weeks for the IRS to send me an ITIN – about a week after accepting my proof its available to buy on Amazon! Quite pleased with how quick that was, well done Amazon. And to their credit, Createspace are pretty good too.
The only thing I don’t like is that the thumbnail looks crap as the book is white!!!
Aaah well – I’ll learn next time!!!
I’ve just found an interesting new website, www.ideas4all.com. It seems like a very interesting website, especially for those that are looking for that one big idea to make them super rich! Check it out!
I finally got my ITIN from the IRS today and so immediately I entered it into Createspace and approved my proof – my book has now officially published and it will be available to buy from Amazon in 15 days. In the mean time it is available on Createspace for those in the US and Lulu for those in the UK.
I had a go on Second Life today, the MMORPG which boasts its own economy (bigger than some smaller nations I believe) with an exchange rate tied to the US Dollar – I believe its 10 Linden Dollars to 1 US Dollar. If you fancy giving it a try its free to download and it’s only around 22mb.
I got the usual “I have no idea what to do” feeling that you get when you start any MMORPG – but the problem this time was that it doesn’t follow the typical MMORPG format. You don’t have to level up your character – you can however use your real life creative/technical skills to earn some money in game. But to be honest – I found it all a bit pointless and since my computer isn’t very good the game looked very basic so after an hour of entertaining this new concept I decided to close it down and I doubt I will ever bother to play it again…
Ok so I’ve abandoned my previous attempt, I decided it was about time I got a job because:
a) Having no money really sucks!
b) I get too distracted by my Xbox 360 (which incidentally broke recently, suddenly I go on a job search)!
c) I’m not really having much success
Anyways, so the other day I was asked to do a new site for the
Deanery, which I decided to do in Joomla – I bought myself a nice looking template to use.
Fortunately, even more good fortune has come my way! My mum was chatting to
Dave Naylor (type in:
uk seo in Google and he comes up top!) and he offered to give us some advice on improving our web presence. So I popped down to see him after I woke up (pre 12am!) and I spent the next 6 hours talking to Dave about SEO and how to improve the Deanery website etc.
It was a very interesting meeting and I learned a lot. So now I’m hoping to get the Deanery “up there” for some keyphrases. I believe my main challenge set is to get page 1 for
hotels in Ripon, page 1 (we’re currently on rank 71 on page 8) for
Deanery (sounds easy that one, but have you ANY idea how many domain names the church has with the word Deanery in it?!?!?! Currently rank 18) and as far as I can tell the other one was rank 3 for
Ripon Hotel (currently rank 9).
So watch this space! I’ll let you know how I get on.
Ok, so now I am rank 61 for my chosen keyword. I have a few cards left to play however.
Firstly I have no page rank, so I could start getting lots of links.
Secondly I have no indexed anchor links with my chosen keyword in.
I’m going to have a good go at this in the New Year and see how it goes, I imagine I need around 5 links to be on the top page…
Well I almost gave up on this idea yesterday, but I think I was just being very negative. I’ve done some research and I think I may have a new style of SEO which around 100 people in the World seem to be doing.
So my aim is to rank for the keyphrase:
managed search engine marketing services as well as a few others. I’m not sure how well it will work yet, without any links I was in the top 100 yesterday, but now I seem to have dropped out…
