Long Term SEO Strategy
Ok, so most Internet users have probably heard of the term SEO or “Search Engine Optimisation” some time in their life. It describes a variety of methods to perhaps artificially climb the rankings of a search engine for a particular search term.
The problem with this is the search engines would prefer it to have useful sites, not SEO’d sites. So overtime they change their search code to get rid of these crap sites, and hence the SEO’d sites change their code to match the new logarhythm and so on. What people don’t tend to realise is that this takes a lot of time, and can result in losing page rank for long periods of time. Therefore I have decided to go with what is called a Long Term SEO Strategy.
Long Term SEO
So this is about basically writing useful/interesting articles, perhaps getting links from other websites from providing quality content, and if you get really good, a link from an educational site, governmental site or other reliable large organisation.
This will require less work in the long term and should hopefully bring me a greater return.
It’s just going to take a while…
